Nipissing launches new line of leisure-based learning courses for the public

Nipissing University has launched its first summer series – a new line of leisure-based learning courses for community members.

“Summer Series courses offer learners of all ages and abilities the opportunity to explore new ideas, skills and hobbies by participating in fun and engaging sessions and workshops that will inspire minds and connect people. participants in a network of lifelong learners,” said Nipissing. University in a press release.

Course topics include computer basics for seniors, introduction to macrame, piano for beginners, mandala painting, knitting, social media for inspirational influencers, meals made simple, photography and more.

Led by local professionals, artists and educators, classes start at $25 and last one to two hours, with face-to-face and virtual options available.
