AICTE and 5IRE collaborate
The 5ire Blockchain Network recently collaborated with AICTE to create a Blockchain of Happiness, creating the YourOneLife (YOL) app on 5irechain. The model has three key features: Assess the Happiness Index of an individual and an institution; Assess the state of mind of an individual or an institution; and Establishment of the mental map of an individual or an institution. It was the brainchild of Yogesh Kochhar and Anoop Bansal.
Streak Hosts Financial Literacy Championship Quiz
The Financial Literacy Championship, an online financial quiz for students, was recently hosted by Streak, a teen-focused Neobank. About 16% of Indian children achieved an average passing score in the quiz and respondents from South India performed best with an average score of 47.86%. Over 3,000 children from over 100 schools across the country signed up and were tested on topics such as banking products, currency, personal finance, and more.

SKF Scholarship Program for Girls
SKF India has recently announced its scholarship program for deserving female students who aspire to obtain engineering degrees and diplomas. The society aims to support 150 girls from economically disadvantaged families in Pune, Mysuru, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Haridwar and will provide scholarships for the duration of the degree. The program will be implemented by United Way of Bangalore.
ABEA launches skills development for non-teaching staff
Aditya Birla Education Academy has launched a development program for non-teaching staff in educational institutions to equip them with essential skills. A series of five workshops were held in December 2021, focusing on communication, collaboration and productivity and some domain-specific topics. Classes were attended by over 100 non-teaching staff from across the country.

Study of the Literature and Publishing Sector in India
The British Council and Art X society recently announced the publication of the Literature and Publishing Industry Study in India, a primary research project aimed at understanding the challenges faced by publishers, agents, authors, Indian translators and industry bodies when drafting literature written in Indian. languages more widely accessible to an international English-speaking audience. The study, commissioned by the British Council and conducted by the company Art X, takes a close look at the role of literary festivals and events, trends in digitization, perceptions of Indian literature in English translation abroad, skills needs and gaps in the sector, as well as its intersections with NEP 2020.
British Council Scholarships
The University of Strathclyde has recently been awarded five British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM for female students from South Asia to pursue their Masters studies in the UK. Fully-funded scholarships are available for selected one-year Masters in Health and Life Sciences, Climate Change Environment and Risk Reduction, Energy Transition and Industry 4.0/Digital Transformation. Each covers full tuition, monthly stipend, a round-trip economy class ticket, and other costs.

IIT-Madras research on the impact of algorithmic traders on the stock market
Researchers from IIT-Madras study the impact of algorithmic traders (AT) on the stock market. This is to study the impact of proprietary algorithmic traders (PAT) and algorithmic buy-side traders (BAT) trading on market quality and vice versa. It was led by Professor P. Krishna Prasanna, Department of Management Studies, and Devika Arumugam, Fulbright Fellow and PhD Scholar, Department of Management Studies. The findings were published in the peer-reviewed journal Applied Economics, Taylor and Francois.

Go Green Challenge 2022
Schneider Electric will launch the Go Green Challenge 2022, in collaboration with AVEVA. It presents an opportunity for students to share their bold and sustainable ideas that can prove to be a game changer in energy management. The challenge is open to all students of a university (Bachelor or Master) enrolled in courses related to business, engineering, marketing and / or innovation. Students can submit their ideas to top industry leaders and receive mentorship from Schneider Electric and AVEVA professionals, as well as be considered for job prospects and the chance to win a reward of up to 10,000 euros.
