Forbes announces the launch of a social networking app for members of its community under 30

Forbes app for people under 30 will have corporate speed networking feature powered by Tinder

The app launch party will be held in San Francisco on August 5 with Forbes 30 Under 30 members and Tinder co-founders

NEW YORK (August 5, 2015) – Forbes today announced the launch of an exclusive Under 30 mobile app created for members of the Forbes Under 30 community. For the official launch, the app will be made available to the more than 2,000 game changers featured in all four Forbes 30 Under 30 lists released to date. The Forbes Under 30 app, which was developed in-house by Forbes with support from Tinder, will officially launch at the second annual Forbes Under 30 Summit in Philadelphia, October 4-7, 2015.

“The Forbes 30 Under 30 lists bring together the most influential and accomplished young entrepreneurs and game changers. Our Under 30 app is a tool we developed to better connect, empower and mobilize this community to help change the world,” said Salah Zalatimo, head of mobile products at Forbes.

The app will feature activity feeds, member directories, messages, notifications, and professional networking opportunities among members of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Content in the app will be developed for and by members from the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and may appear on an Under 30 channel slated to launch on Forbes.com in October.

The app includes a corporate speed networking feature powered by Tinder. This is the first time that Tinder has partnered with another brand to expand its technology.

Forbes, in partnership with Cadillac, is hosting a launch party for its Under 30 app in San Francisco on August 5. More than 100 members of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, as well as Tinder co-founders Sean Rad and Jonathan Badeen, are expected. .

Forbes developed its Under 30 app as part of its initiatives within the company’s new incubator, created to continue to drive innovation at Forbes. The Forbes Under 30 app is the first of the company’s niche community apps set to launch under the Forbes umbrella.
