@Foss_Hackers , they're abandoning Twitter, supposedly. It's difficult to gauge how much less traffic there is on my Twitter timeline, but it does seem to have dropped.
At one point I saw a comment that 60 people had responded to #OpAbandonShip by moving to Diaspora.
I hope their yet-another-attempt-to-abandon-closed-network works. Personally, the only time one can truly say that it worked was when it made serious effects. I mean, 'abandon' movements that produces only 10% of the total is nothing to the eyes of the people who call the shots. 20% is maybe. 30% then we're in business. Again, in my PoV.
@Paul Taylor , some of them are quite net-savvy. But my bet is that a number of them are essentially on the level of just going to a web site, pointing the "cannon" as directed, and clicking on "fire." (Sorry, I'm not remembering the details.)
